Are you a Nurse in Nigeria or Africa trying to move to Canada? Are you a nurse trying to move to Canada? Maybe you have been struggling in Nigeria for a long period of time, and you feel that moving to Canada would make things better for you.
Let me quickly talk about the difference between the two types of nurses we have in Nigeria. We have the registered nurse and we have the graduate nurse. The graduate nurse in Nigeria is going to become the registered nurse in Canada. The registered nurse in Nigeria will become the licensed practical nurse in Canada.
There's a process to it, but I would categorize it under three:
1. The nurse process of verifying your certificates
2. Doing your credential evaluation
3. English language proficiency test
Here is where CELBAN comes in. It is an exam you can write on your own from the comfort of your home without going to any designated centers like IELTS.
Lastly, you are going to be doing your NCLEX examination, which cannot be written in Nigeria yet but can be written in Kenya and in South Africa. Before that, you are going to select the province that you wish to be working in Canada. When you select that province, that is what you will use; your NNAS will forward your evaluations results to the province. The province will approve you to write NCLEX and the approval will be taken to pearson vue, and they will now give you the authorization to go and write the NCLEX exam.
Below, I have the sheet that tells you the type of code for each state for the United States and also for Canada states for Pearson vue fees. You will then select NCLEX-RN or NCLEX-LN depending on your qualification
